Opal turned one on April 16th. It is amazing how quickly the last year has gone. She is such a special child. Opal has remained the most happy and relaxed baby. She has started taking steps and is sure to be running shortly (just to keep up with her big sister). She has slowed down with her growth and matched Hazel's one year statistics almost exactly. She weighed just under 21 pounds and was 30 inches long.
We headed out to the coast for her birthday. The dogs had a blast, but the kids thought it was rather cold. April on the Oregon coast was much colder then our visits in September for Hazel's birthdays. Opal had an undiagnosed ear infection, which made for a fairly sad baby most of the day. The best part was that Cannon Beach was out of power and therefore we had to abandon the coast fairly quickly.
Happy birthday Opal!!!!
